The Young Doctors Section of the Polish Society for Emergency Medicine (Sekcja Mlodych Lekarzy – SML) was established in 2015.

Our mission is to:

  • represent young emergency medicine (EM) physicians in Poland,
  • develop new educational and training opportunities related to EM,
  • promote emergency medicine as a specialty in Poland.

Additionally, our goal is to facilitate networking among all members of the EM community in order to encourage an open exchange of ideas and experiences, thus making it possible to promote cooperation among various emergency departments on joint projects.

All regular members of the Polish Society for Emergency Medicine (PTMR) who are <39 years of age may join the YDS. There is no additional membership fee to join the YDS (it is included in the standard PTMR membership fee). Each year members of the YDS hold 1-2 formal meetings.

CHAIRPERSON

The Young Doctors Section is led by a chairperson who is elected every 4 years. 
The current chairperson is serving the 2021 – 2025 term.
